System Requirements

StageTick is a web application that runs entirely in the browser. There is nothing to install — just open the URL and you are ready to go.

Supported browsers

StageTick supports the latest two major versions of all modern browsers:

  • Google Chrome (recommended)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari (macOS and iOS)
  • Microsoft Edge
Tip: For the best experience as an operator, we recommend Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop computer.

No installation needed

StageTick is a progressive web application. Simply navigate to app.stagetick.io in your browser. There are no plugins, extensions, or desktop software to install.

Device compatibility

StageTick is designed to work across all screen sizes:

  • Desktop / Laptop — full operator experience with all controls visible.
  • Tablet — great for moderator and viewer roles. The operator view also works well on tablets in landscape orientation.
  • Mobile phone — optimized mobile controller for starting, stopping, and advancing timers on the go. Viewer and fullscreen outputs also adapt to small screens.

Internet connection

StageTick requires an active internet connection. All timer state is synchronized in real time across connected devices via Firebase, so every participant needs to be online.

Recommended: A stable broadband connection (wired or Wi-Fi). Cellular connections work but may introduce slightly higher latency.

Note: If a device temporarily loses connectivity, StageTick will automatically reconnect and resync when the network is restored. Timers continue running locally during brief outages.

Supported screen sizes

StageTick adapts to any screen size. Here are the recommended minimums for each role:

View Minimum width
Operator 1024px (desktop/laptop)
Moderator 768px (tablet)
Viewer 320px (any device)
Fullscreen 320px (any device)
Mobile Controller 320px (phone)
